The rebuilding process of the internal structure with carbon-Black, Brilliant Carmine 6 B, Chrome Yellow 10 G and Barium Sulfate in a polymerized linseed oil was studied with the dynamic rigidity measurement. The dynamic rigidities G and their increasing process with rest time t after agitation of the above pigments suspensions were measured at 30°C.
As results, for the carbonblack system an exponential increase of rigidity with time was observed and its rate constant of the rigidity increased rapidly with the solid content, and the largest value G∞ (or the latest value of the process) was proportional to 4.0-4.5 power of the solid concentration (vol.%), but in this stage the rebuilding of the structure was limited in a little humidity on the pigment particles.
On the other hand, for the Chrome yellow 10 G system, the rebuilding phenomena was observed only at the presence of adsorbed humidity on this pigment, and this phenomenon disappeared from the system with the drying of the pigment. But the rebuilding process of Carmine 6 B system was, different from the above two, because there was a convenient region of the pigment concentration for the faster rebuilding.
