The estimating of the hydrologic model parameters is a crucial mission, especially while the hydrologic model is being applied to some basins with poor observation data. In order to confirm the reliability of the calibrated hydrologic model, various tests for assessing the operational adequacy of the hydrologic model and its parameter(s) have been proposed and applied else where in the literatures. The purpose of this study is to apply a blind simulation and validation in the Mae Chaem Basin, Thailand, and to verify the quality of the forcing input data. TOPMODEL and a downscaled topographic index distribution are used in the study. The downscaled topographic index distribution is obtained through the methodology proposed by Pradhan et al., which made the specification of the parameter values easier. A pseudo validation algorithm proposed by Chiang et al.6) is manipulated for verify the quality of the forcing input data and the adequacy of the TOPMODEL by using different topographic index distributions.
