The organic polymer-inorganic nanohybrids are new and fantastic materials produced by molecular complexing of organic polymers with inorganic components. The polymer-inorganic nanohybrids are one of the key materials for developing a new industry based on nanotechnology. As the polymer-inorganic nanohybrids, many research groups have reported polymer-silica nanohybrids, organically modified silicate (ORMOSIL) nanohybrids, polymer-layered silicate (clay) nanohybeids, and so on. These nanohybrids show excellent characteristics in mechanical, thermal, electrical and other physicochemical properties. In this paper, the research and development of the organic polymer-inorganic nanohybrid are reviewed and current topics on nanohybrids materials are introduced.
