BS and 110E CS digital broadcasting services began in December 2000 and March 2002 respectively, and terrestrial digital broadcasting services will begin in December 2003. At that time we will need an advanced and interactive receiving navigation system to quickly find out and to watch desired programs or services for various TV viewers, including elderly and handicapped people. Here are some results of a study on a pointing method to select items on the TV screen, which provides an interactive operation scheme with universal human interface to easily select the name of programs and services.
