Subjective readability scores were obtained for texts presented via jumps of from 1 pixel to 4 characters from right to left between successive displays in various rates of presentation. The results indicate that having horizontally scrolling text presentation in small size jumps was more advantageous than having a longer duration of a stable text with large jumps. The most readable rates of scroll were 4 to 6 characters per second dependent on difficulty of texts.
