In our Rept. 1, we found the refractoriness and sintering point of several moulding sands in Hokkaido were low, and we supposed a cause of such unsoundness came from clay substance of moulding sand. Therefore, in this report, we tried several experiments for them, and we obtained the following results ; the moulding sands in Hokkaido contained a great deal of soluble substance for acid and monmorillonite clay mineral. So we concluded that the refractoriness and sintering point were hindered by them.
