Primary Cutaneous Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma Successfully Treated by Resective Operation and Postoperative Electron-beam Therapy

• We report a case of 62-year-old man with primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) successfully treated by resective operation followed by postoperative electron-beam therapy. An elevated flat ulcerated nodule 25mm in diameter on the left scapular area was resected on at 3cm from the tumor margin. Histopathologically, CD30-positive anaplastic large cells were present at high density throughout the dermis. After the operation the patient was treated with radiation therapy using 4 MeV energy electron-beam(30 Gy). No recurrence of the tumor has been detected either clinically or radiographically. Our case with primary cutaneous ALCL suggested that additional local radiation therapy may be available to prevent local recurrence after the operation.
