Mantle cell lymphoma is an uncommon B-cell neoplasm, accounting for approximately 3-10% of non-Hodgkin lymphomas. In general, the most commonly affected sites are the lymph nodes, followed by the bone marrow, spleen, gastrointestinal tract and Waldeyer ring. A 67-year-old male visited our outpatient clinic presenting with multiple fungoid tumoral skin lesions on his left lower extremity. Skin and lymph node biopsies were performed, and the histopathologic examination showed massive proliferation of medium-sized atypical mononuclear cells. Immunohistochemical and fusion in situ hybridization analyses confirmed the diagnosis of mantle cell lymphoma. Rituximab-CHOP regimen was started and the swelling of lymph nodes and skin lesions gradually diminished. Mantle cell lymphoma rarely involves the skin, and we summarized the clinical features of previously reported cases. Skin Research, 11: 428-435, 2012
