In recent years exhaust emissions regulations are gradually becoming stricter, and a reduction of exhaust gas density is a pressing need, thus highlighting the need for research in emissions reduction. This study develops an electrostatic water atomization scrubber that combines dryness electrostatic dust collection with the merit of the scrubber to remove NOx and PM in exhaust gas. It is a mechanism using electrification, where a charged drop of water collects PM in opposite polarity using Coulomb attraction. NOx is dissolved into the solvent, and a mist spray is used for atomization. With air pressure of 0.10MPa, the particle diameter in the horizontal direction was steady, and the influence by flowing quantity was almost zero. If the particle diameter in the vertical direction becomes far from the atomization entrance, the particle diameter has grown. We can collect PM of distinct diameters by increasing the particle diameters. A flow quantity of 200mL/min was the maximum PM collection rate with only the water scrubber of static electricity. It was possible to decrease NOx about 14% and PM about 100% while using this combination with the PM charger.
