概要

関節リウマチ（rheumatoid arthritis：RA）の病理組織像の特徴は（1）滑膜細胞の多層化，（2）リンパ球などの炎症性細胞浸潤，（3）血管新生，（4）軟骨や骨の破壊，（5）線維芽細胞様滑膜細胞の増生であるが，最近では生物学的製剤などの治療により，（1）（2）（3）の所見が消失し典型的な像を示さない症例が多くなってきている．（5）はRA特異的な細胞として多くの研究者が注目しており，CD14，CD34などが陽性となるが，治療によって変化することのないRAの病理組織学的マーカーの発見が今後も必要と思われる．
