概要

• The first barn with gambrel roof in the First Farm of Hokkaido University was built on the 31 March, 1919. The plans with gambrel roof and official documents have been found in the Facility Department of Hokkaido University. The Plans drawn by Shaku, the system of measuring length, adopt the King System of Ventilation and the balloon frame construction. The book written by Kenzo IGUCHI, a professor of the Faculty of Agriculture, that introduced this barn was used as the textbook at the Faculty of Agriculture, Hokkaido University.
