頸部外切開を要した下咽頭魚骨異物の1例を経験した。異物は，咽頭後間隙に認められ，危険間隙への炎症の波及などを考えると早急な処置が必要と思われた。異物の種類大きさにより咽頭の側面単純レントゲン撮影で確認できるものもあることを痛感した。
