ULTIMATE BEHAVIOR OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BRIGDE WITH CORRUGATED STEEL WEBS USING EMBEDDED CONNECTION

The connection of the concrete slab and the corrugated steel webs is a major problem with this type of bridges. Experimental and analytical investigations were carried out on flexial and shear behavior of such girders in order to make clear ultimate behavior and failure mechanism of such girders connection.<BR>As the result, strength of the connection didn't decrease after the ultimate load, the flexial behavior of the beam was prominent, and the capacity of the connection was enough as compared with the existing design requirements. But in concerned with damage of the connection, the harmful gap phenomenon in the connection was confirmed.<BR>Therefore we assumed the mechanism of this gap phenomenon through the result of those tests, and we made a simply analysis model of the gap and furthermore curried out numerical analysis of a quantity of gap using this model.
