With its distinctive, highly precise and smooth multi-color images, color printers of sublime dye transfer type are being used increasingly in such fields as computer-aided design systems and the proof printing as well as video printers.<BR>This paper reveals that the color printer is of an excellent subtractive mixture of color stimuli, and further demonstrates that a highly precise color reproduction may be realized by applying a color-matching technique based on subtractive mixture of color stimuli to the printer.
