Measurement of the atmospheric emission of the chromic acid mist from chromium plating processes and atmospheric chromium concentrations arround these processes were carried out.
The emission rates of chromic acid mist from these processes were proportional to the 1.349-th power of the product of chromium concentration in the plating bath, the electrolytic voltage and current.
And separating efficiences of chromic acid mist separator settled in these processes were high, therefore the acid mist concentrations in the exhaust gas from these separator were low.
The atmospheric chromium concentrations arround the chromium plating processes were influenced by these chromic acid mist emission rates, but this influence couldn't find at the observation points separated more than 50 meter from these plants.
