Neurilemmoma is an ectodermal tumor originating in Schwann's cells of myelinated nerves and occurs relatively rare in the oral and maxillofacial region. Neurilemmoma, which can originate nerve in the oral floor region, is rare. In this report, a case of neurilemmoma originated lingual nerve in the oral floor was presented.<BR>The patient, a 78-year-old female was referred to our department because of a swelling in the right oral floor region. The surgical excision of the lesion was performed under general anesthesia. It was confirmed that a branch of the lingual nerve adhered to the mass.<BR>The removed mass was spherical, 25 × 15 × 15mm in size, and covered with a thin capsule having a smooth, whitish yellow surface and low elasticity. Histopathologically, it was diagnosed as a neurilemmoma featuring mixture type of Antoni A and B. No recurrence was found two and half years after surgery.
