We experienced two cases of inflammatory papillary hyperplasia of the hard palate, which had been rarely reported in Japan. The first case was a 53-year-old women, the second a 49-year-old women. The clinical and pathological features were as follows:<BR>1. The patients wore the dentured day and night.<BR>2. Characteristics in the clinical picture were slightly raised, raspberry-like papillary or nodular lesion.<BR>3. Histologically, the lesion showed numerous papillary growths that were covered by parakeratotic stratified squamous epithelium with an inflammatory infiltrate in the subjacent connective tissue.
