Cerebellar Hemorrhage after Supratentorial Craniotomy. Report of Two Cases.

The two cases of remote cerebellar hemorrhage after supratentorial craniotomy were reported. On the basis of reviewing the literature, such a postoperative cerebellar hemorrhage is extremely rare complication.We speculate that change of post-operative posture and postoperative cerebrospinal fluid overdrainage seem to be related to the cerebellar hemorrhage. Post-operative rest and meticulous management of the drainage system were necessary to prevent this postoperative complication.Although rare, we should be alert to the possibilities of such a cerebellar hemorrhage when the condition of the patient after operation is unexplainable from the preceding craniotomy.
