Flow patterns in the vicinity of the sphere vibrating sinusoidally in liquid was investigated with optical method.Under the condition that amplitude of vibration was smaller than diameter of sphere, it was examined that the measured thickness of inner streaming η was expressed by η/d=f(d2f/ν) in the above, f is frequency of vibration, ν kinematic viscosity of liquid, d diameter of sphere.Morever, with similar conditions and liquid used, flow patterns sround the thin circular disk vibration along the axis was investigated. The critical condition that direction of flow changes was expressed by a2f/ν=8.5(a/D)0.67 where a is amplitude of vibration and D is diameter of circular disk.
