Multiple Regression Analysis of the Relationship between the Body Weight and the Body Feature in the Okinawa Native, the Okinawa Meat and the Japanese Saanen Goats

The multiple regression analysis were applied to the relationship between the body weight and the twelve body measurements with the coefficient of the standard partial regression and to the determination that was readjusted for the degree of freedom (R<SUP>**2</SUP>) in the Okinawa Native, the Okinawa Meat and the Japanese Saanen breeds in Ryukyu islands. The body wight was influenced by the chest girth, the body length and the chest depth in the Okinawa Native brred, by the chest girth, the body length, the shoulder breadth and the coxal width in the Okinawa Meat breed, and the chest girth, the hip width, the hip height and the rump length in the Japanese Saanen breed. The coefficient of the chest girth and R<SUP>**2</SUP> of these three breeds wewe 0.617 and 0.453, 0.652 and 0.846, and 0.863 and 0.779, respectively
