Photographic color film exposed to charged particles displays tracks of them with colored image, and the color change of tracks will offer the three dimensional information (3DI) of them in the layers. The colored tracks of α-particles from a radiation source enclosed in the film layer were obtained with this method and the color change revealed 3DI of the tracks which gave the net range of particles. The energy of particle was estimated from the net range and the element composition of the layer in using the energy calculation software SRIM 2003. The energy distribution coincided with the decay series from <SUP>226</SUP>Ra.
