Platelet aggregation and ATP release with ADP, epinephrine and collagen were investigated in patients with ischemic heart disease.The blood was obtained from the subclavian vain, pulmonary artery, aorta and brachial artery. Platelet counts in the heparin used blood of aorta were lower than the others but the number of platelets were similar in the venous blood, the blood of pulmonary artery and arterial blood.Platelet aggregation and ATP release with ADP and collagen were increased in ischemic group with more than 75% narrowing of coronary artery.Especially, the ATP release is regarded as the sensitive parameter to evaluate the hyperfunction of platelet in ischemic heart disease.
