In this study, we carried out a clinical study of four auricular prosthesis using craniofacial implants (Branemark system®). The following results were obtained. Patients were 4 males of ages 25, 21, 35, and 46, respectively. Their primary diseases were caused by auricular malformation, burn injury and traffic accident. The fixtures (length of 3 mm or 4 mm) were installed in the temporal bone, and in all (total 10 heads), effective ability was obtained. The epithesis was supported by a bar-type support device, making it easy for the patient attach or detach it by himself or herself. No serious problems were observed in the skin or bone tissue surrounding the implant, and satisfactory results were obtained in the cosmetic aspect and support of epitheses.
