The effects of blurs due to object motion in evaluating the image quality of radiographs were investigated using the information spectrum. Two examples are demonstrated. One is that for the detectability of low-contrast objects being increased by the blur. This effect is explained by information spectral values in the low-frequency range. The other is of the degradation of the resolution by the blur which is explained by information spectral values in the high-frequency range. In both ranges, the same information spectral values give the same image quality, and differences of image quality were able to be recognized if the difference of spectral values exceeded 0.25 bit.
