A 3-year-old male Japanese domestic cat was presented with a mild right hindlimb lameness. During the observation without any treatments except a short-period antibiotic therapy, clinical signs gradually progressed and the cat showed ataxia after one month.<BR>Cervical canal stenosis at C4 and irregular shape of C3 to C5 vertebrae detected by myelography suggested spinal cord compression. Dorsal decompressive laminectomy was performed from C2 to C5, and 10 days later, the cat was able to walk normally.
