Writers collected scores of samples from several stations off coast of Japan and Tokyo Bay.<BR>The applied analytical method is the method of <B>I. M. KOLTHOFF</B> and <B>H. YUTZ</B> (197) or that of <B>H. DOERING</B> (1937), but as the samples of Tokyo Bay contained so much dissolved organic compound, so they gave high results, therfore writers have prepared the distillation method (on the accurucy of their method, cf. Table 1 and 2).<BR>The ratio of bromine to chlorinityof all samples have shown very good constancy (cf. Table 3-10). There were little differences at any stations and depths, and between oceanic water and coastic water, too.<BR>The mean value of chlorinity-ratio of all samples was 0.00347, and the confidence limit of the water of Tokyo By was 0.003504≥m≥0.003456 (confidence coefficient is 0.95%).
