Removal of radionuclides in marine <I>Vibrio</I> species was examined at different phases of the bacterial multiplication, namely, during the non-clumping phase when removal is considered to be mainly due to uptake and firm adsorption, and during the clumping phase when removal is by trapping. Concentration factors in the bacteria at different phases of multiplication for each nuclide are as follows: <SUP>141</SUP>Ce, 967-8114; <SUP>137</SUP>Cs, 0.8-68.7; <SUP>65</SUP>Zn, 90-164; <SUP>45</SUP>Ca, 0.2-10.4.
