1. With an intravenous injection to mice, bradykinin exhibited anaphylactoid reactionin a dose of 15mg/kg or more and no lethal cases could be found in a dose of 50mg/kg or less.<BR>2. Subcutaneous administration of 1γ of bradykinin to the paw of rats elicited amarked local edema.<BR>3. Intradermal application of 1γ of bradykinin to rats caused the perivascular inflammatoryinfiltration within a few hours, and these histological changes becamemarkedly as the time elapsed.<BR>4. When 0.01γ of bradykinin was introduced intracutaneously, it caused the increasedcapillary permeability, and this phenomenon was antagonized completely withhomochlorcyclizine (10γ), and remarkably with diphenhydramine (100γ), cyproheptadine (10γ), or dexamethasone (1γ) respectively.<BR>5. Histamine exhibited the same activities as bradykinin qualitatively, but it wasone tenth or weaker in potency than the latter.
