Acropathie ulcèro-mutilante (Thévenard) in sister and a case of acropathie ulcèro mutilante non-familiale (Bureau et Barrière)

1. Acropathie ulcèro-mutilante familiale. An elder sister 17 year-old, has developed ulcerlation of fingers and soles with hypoesthesia of the extremities since at aged 15. Her younger sister aged 14 also has been complaining of stocking like hypoesthesia in lower legs and painless ulcerlation of soles. Both of them were seen acroosteolysis in X-ray findings but no spinal abnormalities and routine laboratory tests rimained within normal limits.<BR>2. Acropathie ulcèro mutilante non-familiale. A 70 year-old woman who has been suffering from loss of fingers and toes, ulceration of soles and hypoesthesia of her extremities, since 30 years. Although abnormal results of the routine laboratory tests were not proved, follows were characteristic i.e. decreased patellar and Achilles tendon reflexs, hypoesthesia of the lower legs and forearms, acroosteolysis in roentogenograms of bone and some what narrow of the intervertebral spaces in lumbar myelogram.
