Regenerative treatment for drainage from laundry establishments are reported in this paper.<BR>The drainage from laundry establishments is classified into three kinds : washing, rinsing and starching water drainage. They were treated by the ultrafilter membrane with 8.5 × 10<SUP>-3</SUP> μm of average pore size and the precision filter membrane with 2.0 × 10<SUP>-1</SUP> μm of them. The obtained results showed that there was no difference between them and 98% TOC in the water drainage were able to be removed. However, TOC in the starching water drainage could not removed by the precision filter.<BR>To increase the water quality, we focused on decreasing the amount of TOC remained and removing Mg<SUP>2+</SUP> and Ca<SUP>2+</SUP> ion as the hardness components in the washing water. We tried activated charcoal against the former and zeolite agaist the latter in the rinsing water drainage as the adsorbent. After treatment of these adsorbent, we obtained the water quality with 24.3 mg/<I>l</I> TOC, 0.03 mg/<I>l</I> Mg<SUP>2+</SUP> ion and 0.09 mg/<I>l</I> Ca<SUP>2+</SUP> ion, they were very close to that of washing water.
