To get high output with power generation by a wind turbine, it is more effective to utilize high-speed wind. A method collecting wind to get high-speed wind is experimentally studied. As a basic research, we studied the influence of hollow bodies set in open space on wind flows. It was found that static pressure of the inside of the hollow bodies with contraction shape became higher than that of outside. On the other hand, the static pressure with diffuser shape became lower and the magnitude of the pressure difference had the maximum value near the inlet. By the pressure difference approaching wind was accelerated and near the inlet of the diffuser its speed became about 1.7 times of that of far region. A plane attached to the outlet of the diffuser like a brim was found to enhance the acceleration effect.
