Patient 1 was a 43-year-old male with epidural abscess due to frontal pyocele. He underwent extranasal frontal surgery in addition to administration of antibiotics. Patient 2 was a 14-yearold male with brain abscess due to acute sinusitis. The abscess disappeared by antibiotic treatment without surgical drainage. Both patients were treated successfully. Although the development of antibiotic therapy has reduced the incidence of rhinogenic intracranial complications, rhinogenic intracranial complications are still present. Careful observations, a prompt diagnosis and an adequate treatment are necessary.
