In this paper, we present a design method of robust plug-in adaptive controller (plug-in AC) for the purpose of rejection periodic disturbance in adaptive manner at selected frequencies. Our design method is based on external model principle, i.e. the controller can be added to an existed feedback control system without altering the original closed-loop configuration. And proposed design method can be developed by using linear control theory although the closed loop system includes the adaptive algorithm as nonlinear operator. Furthermore we consider the variation of the plant, therefore such adaptive controller design problem can be considered as linear robust controller design problem.
