Experiments conducted to delineate efficient methods for induction of gynogenetic diploids in plaice (hirame) <I>Paralichthys olivaceus</I> revealed the following results.<BR>The optimum diluting time of milt is more than 50 times at the irradiation by ultra violet. But it can be possible in 10 times dilution probably if milt of red sea bream is used. Also, it became clear that diluted milt of 20ml/90mm petri dish could be treated by ultra violet, i. e. against the common method used at present (0.5ml/90mm petri dish) .
