Dupuytren's contracture is caused by a proliferative fibroplasia of the subcutaneous palmar tissue, occurring in the form of nodules and cords and resulting in secondary contractures of the finger joints. The lesion usually begins in line with the ring or the little finger at the distal palmar crease and progresses to involve these digits. Flexion contractures of the metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints gradually develop, however, the rate of the development of the deformity is very slow. We report three cases of Dupuytren's contracture. The patients were 68 and 75-year-old males and one 79-year-old female. Of three cases. two developped a few small nodules at the distal palmar crease, and one showed severe flexion contractures of the metacarpophalangeal joints of the ring and the middle fingers. And one of three patients had diabetes mellitus for about three years. Skin Research, 39: 311-31
