The heat transfer rate of hot wires has been measured at three points of wind velocity, namely zero, maximum, and an intermediate values, during their life-period. It can be deduced that the zero wind velocity heat transfer is liable to drift in different way from the others, and that determining lineariser constants on the base of the zero velocity heat transfer may result in error of 10%, or in unfavourable cases up to 20%, in small perturbation sensitivity de/dUat higher wind velocity.
