An Analysis of Wave Diffraction Using Green-Function Method.

The Green-function method provides a powerful tool for analyzing diffraction and multiple reflection of waves. In applying this method to coastal wave analysis, however, the accuracy has been often reduced because of irrational open-boundary conditions imposed. This paper presents the most rigorous formulation of continuation conditions, and validity as well as significance of the revised method is demonstrated through trial computation of wave diffraction around a breakwater gap.
