Spacecraft are often spin stabilized at their launch. At such cases, nutation motion may affect the mission success directly. So, estimation of nutation divergence via liquid propellant is a matter of interest. At the same time, the estimation is not necessarily rigorous. Instead of estimating the precise dynamics of the nutation, this study concentrates on the estimation of the worst value of nutation motion. In most missions, nutation motion does not need to be estimated exactly, but it is extremely important to assure the worst value of nutation divergence. This paper treats the nutation divergence via liquid propellant in tanks and proposes the way to estimate the worst value of nutation divergence time constant. This approach may be conservative, but still it can be adopted to wide variety of missions.
