Among discrete Fourier transformations, the sine transformation in the half interval is discussed with symmetric shapes such as regular polygons and stars. These shapes are considered to be representatives of analytical particulate silhouettes. A circle helps in shape analysis because it is one of the fundamental templates. With this the relationship between the Fourier sine coefficients and areas as well as peripheral lengths are obtained. The present method of analysis is not restricted in use to regular cases, but several char particles, with a mesh size of 14-16 and with asymmetric and irregular shapes are also treated in the same way.
