<B>Case</B>: A59year-01dmanpresentedtoanearbyhospitalcomplainingofproductivecough, bloodysputumandfever. ChestradiographyandchestCTshowedasolitarythin-walledcavity, about6.5cmindiameter, ntherightupperlobe. Thepatientwasreferredtoourhospitalandwasexamined.Theclinicaldiagnosiswasprimarylungcancer (adenocarcinoma) withathin-alledcavity.Rightupperlobectomywasperformed.Thepathologicaldiagnosisagreedwiththeclinicaldiagnosis (P-3NOMO).ChestradiographyandchestCTperformed5monthsaftersurgeryshowedmultiplethinwalledcavitiesintheleftmiddlelungfield; allcavitiesgrewrapidly.<BR><B>Conclusion</B>: Primarylungcancerwithathin-walledcavityisrare.Itwassuspectedthatcavityformationinthiscase wasduetothepathologicalcharacteristicsofthetumor, forexampleso-calledcellautophagia.
