A 46-year-old female with progressive benign pulmonary tumor was surgically treated after a two year observation period. The tumor was located in left S8 immediately below the pleura, and was easily enucleated. Pathological findings showed a proliferation of circle-like cells with whorl formations and psammomatous bodies. Electronmicroscopic observation showed a typical meningotheliomatous meningioma with interdigitation, desmosomes and intermediate filaments. The lesion was a primary pulmonary meningioma whithout any accompanying intercranial or intraspinal tumors.
