• The results obtained are as follows :<BR>1) The fungus which caused <I>Pythium</I> blight of creeping bentgrass in winter was identified as <I>P. vanterpoolii</I> and recognized as a pathogen to cause a winter patch.<BR>2) The fungus which caused <I>Pythium</I> blight in a hot season was identified as <I>P. aristosporum</I>. It is the first report for the pathogen of ryegrass.
