Diploid gynogenetic Lampam Jawa, Puntius gonionotus were obtained by using ultraviolet irradiated sperm of P. schwanenfeldii for fertilization followed by cold shock. The diploid gynogenetic and normal control siblings of the same parents were studied for their response to skin graft (a piece of scale) exchange. All skin graft exchanged among normal control sibling of Lampam Jawa, and as well those from genetically unrelated donors were rejected within 12 days. The skin graft transplanted into the self donor survived and was accepted. In contrast, skin allografts exchanged among homozygous gynogenetic siblings were all rejected within 18 days. Skin allografts exchanged among heterozygous gynogenetic Lampam Jawa exhibited prolonged survival, with some allografts surviving for over 20 days. Three types of allograft reactions were observed, acute reaction in which allografted skin survived within 4-7 days, subacute reaction with survival for more than 12 days and chronic reaction with survival more than 3 weeks.
