Effect of antiplasminic agent to carrageenin-induced inflammation of rats.

Some effects of antiplasminic agent to carrageenin-induced inflammation of rats were examined in this study. Especially, in order to clarify the effect of t-AMCHA to natural course of carrageenin-induced inflammation, the following parameters were estimated in t-AMCHA administration group and saline administration group. That is, fibrinogen content and α<SUB>2</SUB>-plasmin inhibitor activity in the circulating blood, plasma protein content, volume of exudate, α<SUB>2</SUB>-plasmin inhibitor activity and protein content in exudate, wet weight of granulation tissue, weight of acetone powder of granulation tissue, protein content in extract from acetone powder, alkaliphosphatase activity in extract and effect of extract to urokinase activity were estimated in both groups. One of these parameters, weight of acetone powder at a week after the injection of carrageenin in t-AMCHA group were significantly less than that in physiological saline group (P<0.01), the other parameters, however, at one week to three weeks after the injection in t-AMCHA group were not significantly different from that in saline group. From the above-mentioned results, it was suggested that t-AMCHA retarded formation of granulation or occurred to be insufficiency of granulation formation. The mechanism of retardation of granulation formation induced by t-AMCHA is studying in progress.
