Studies on Effect of Copper Algaecide and Its Application

The algaecide effects of various copper materials were experimentally investigated. The elution rate of copper was approximately expressed by the Langmuir type for copperplated media and by the Freundlich type for copper chip and granular copper, respectively.<BR>These materials were effective based on the experimental results, viz. algae SS concentration, pH and growth rate constant. The practical utilization methods of these materials were presented and considered.
