• The contour strip cropping and labor saving implements such as a monorail type sprayer were applied to tomato and sweet pea cultivation in the flat-roof sloping greenhouse. Those labor saving effects were as follows:1) Contour line ridging was performed by a smallsize cultivator to make narrow passage in the slope angle under 20°. The contour furrows were effective for the labor burden reduction in spraying work. A monorail type sprayer was more effective for the labor saving.2) In downhill transportation, an experimental transportation implement was effective the safety improvement in addition to reduce labor burden.3) The labor burden was light for training work of the sweet pea. However, the burden of the leg increased in slope direction work, therefore, the change to contour line work is desirable.
