In a start-arrival shaft of a shield tunnel, the construction method is developed and is spreading gradually, in which a shield excavator can pass through while cutting the underground continuation wall by attaching to the wall the fiber-reinforced structure, such as CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastics) and glass-fiber-reinforced urethane foam.However, there still remain many problems, such that pipe work gets clogged with chips, and that it is difficult to design the strength of a fiber-reinforced structure, etc.Writers have been studying about the cuttable structure made from the fiber-reinforced concrete, for example, the stake using the bag.This paper describes basic performances, such as the intensity, the cutting performance and water-tightness, which are required for the structure made from the glass-fiber-reinforced resin.
