It has been reported that many chomosome aberrations directly correlate to the sexual anomalies, reproductive disorders and congenital abnormalities in domestic animals. Furthermore, the advance of DNA diagnosis can lead to resolve the cause of genetical diseases in animals. In cattle, there are chromosomal translocation (1/29), sex chromosome chimerism (XX/XY), mosaicism, trisomic conditions, and XY female showing the reproductive abnormalities or low fertility. In horse showing the same syndromes, cases of mosaic, monosomy and trisomy of sex chromosomes and XY female are reported. In pig showing intersex and boar having low litter, there are the similar chromosome aberrations to the cases of cattle or horse. And, it is shown in pig that autosomal inversion occurred in a familial line. The conclusions suggest us that chromosome analysis and DNA diagnosis may serve as an aid of clinical diagnosis in the veterinary medicine.
