The present study was carried out to survey the seasonal variation of amino acid score of protein contained in the school lunch in Nagoya city.No remarkable seasonal variations in protein and amino acids intake were observed.However, the considerable differences were seen in protein and amino acid intake among individual recipe in each season.Lysine was the first limiting amino acid of school lunches in Summer, Autumn and Winter, and threonine was that in Spring.The main sources of lysine were milk and eggs, meat, and fishes which occupied 74% of total lysine intake. Threonine was mostly supplied from milk and egg, cereals and meats.
