This report deals with the relation between epidemiological factors (age, school career, number of pregnancy cases, emesis, food intake, subjective symptoms) and anemia among 603 pregnant women.1) The morbidity rate of anemia among pregnant women was 17.1%. A gradual decrease in hemoglobin levels was seen as pregnancy progressed.2) No relation was found between the morbidity rate of anemia and the grade of emesis.3) There was a significant relationship between the degree of anemia and subjective symptoms of anemia (dullness, dizziness, fatigue, loss of appetite), but no relation between the nutritional intake and pattern of staple food could be found.
